The club was virtually taken over by elderly folks who trooped to the adult-themed event with their spouses. Some traveled from as far as Asutsuare to join their colleagues, most of whom were clad in white outfits. Among the patrons were couples who have been married for over a period of forty years.
This is the third edition of Akumaa's programme intended to spice up marriages. It was an extended version of her ‘Odo Ahumasuo' adult education programme on Adom 106.3 FM. Couples at Saturday's event were taken through sex edification as one of the rudiments for encouraging proper marriage life.
There were also talks on causes and prevention of prostate cancer and its effect on marriage. Among issues that cropped up, it was revealed that chewing tiger nuts is one of the best ways to keep the prostate active. Other activities included answering questions posed by couples about their marital problems, and a competition to find out which of them best knew their partners.
After various rounds of questioning from judges, Mr. and Mrs. Ampomsa Bofuo, who have been married for forty-one (41) years, came out on top, while Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Dogbetse and Mr. and Mrs. Kubiabor were first and second runners-up respectively. They all took away various attractive packages. Every other couple at the event also went home with some freebies.
The night was spellbinding with thrilling sounds from Bacardis DJs and performances from Slim Busterr and his dance machinery. The programme was sponsored by Adom FM, VIB Concept, Zimiro Clothing, Everpure Purified Water, Latex Foam, Escape Cosmetics and Multi-TV. The rest were 02 sanitary pad, De-Holiday Beach Hotel, Golden Tree Chocolate and Healthy-Soul Natural Centre.
