Akumaa Prepares Database On Widows

INTERNATIONAL WISE Award winner Akumaa Mama Zimbi, otherwise called Joyce Akumaa Dongotey Paddi, who also doubles as a radio presenter and veteran actress, has revealed plans to provide a database on widows in Ghana.

The Adom FM presenter, who has been advocating for the well-being and rights of widows in Ghana these past few years, made this known while speaking at this year’s edition of the Widows Alliance Conference organized by her Widows Alliance Network (WANE) at the Trade Fair Center last Saturday.

WIDOWS GARI PROCESSING FACTORY COMMISSIONED

 

In a few days after returning from Doha where she received the WISE Award for Sustainability, Akumaa Mama Zimbi has gone on a three-day working tour in the Volta Region of Ghana. She was met by the Chiefs, Queen mothers, Assembly Members and people with drumming and dancing in the selected communities she visited.

AKUMAA MAKES GHANA PROUD

 

GHANA HAS again added another international accolade to its fold as Radio Show hostess Akumaa Mama Zimbi, also known in private life as Joyce Dongotey-Padi, clinched a $20,000 award by the Qatar Foundation (QF) in Doha last Tuesday to support her Widows Alliance Network for Sustainable Economic Development (WANE) initiative.
